Celebrity News: This beautiful island retreat was only on the market for three months. Any place in Hawaii is bound to be breathtaking, but this home on Maui offers something truly spectacular: more than one acre of oceanfront property.
And with ’80s rock star Pat Benatar as the former owner, the $3.1 million residence is truly one of a kind. After being listed at $3.2 million for just three months, the island getaway is off the market, reports Variety. With 3,295 square feet of interior living space and 2,278 square feet of outdoor ipe decks, the new owners will enjoy gorgeous views of the Big Island, the Pacific Ocean, and Haleakala.
The plantation-style home features three bedrooms and three-and-a-half baths, as well as a manicured tropical garden complete with Hawaiian-style rock walls. The custom-built residence comes fully furnished, with the option to purchase the adjoining plot of land, so we’re sure the new owners are doing Benatar proud.
Pat Benatar is an American coloratura mezzo-soprano singer, actress, songwriter, and four time Grammy Award winner. Benatar had two RIAA-certified multi-platinum albums, five RIAA-certified platinum albums, three RIAA-certified gold albums, 17 Billboard charting hits, 15 of them being Top 40 singles, including the Top 10 hits “Hit Me with Your Best Shot”, “Love Is a Battlefield”, “We Belong”, and “Invincible”.
Other popular singles include “Heartbreaker”, “Treat Me Right”, “Fire and Ice”, “Promises in the Dark”, “Shadows of the Night”, and “All Fired Up”. Benatar’s recordings were heavily played in the early days of MTV; she was the second artist to be played there, performing “You Better Run”. She is best known for the role of herself in Yakety Yak, Take it Back, and Trash Talk.
