Celebrity News: Alanis Morissette is Selling California House – You Oughta Know Alanis Morissette is selling her home of over 20 years. The 43-year-old has listed her Brentwood, California house for a whopping $5.495 million. If the Jagged Little Pill hitmaker gets her asking price it will be at a $3.7 million profit, not adjusting for inflation.
According to the Los Angeles Times property records show the Mediterranean-style home was snatched up in 1996 for a cool $1.795 million. The property sits on a nice spread, behind some gates of course, and has room for plenty of fun activities. The lot is over half of an acre and boasts a swimming pool and court that can support a variety of sports.
The home, built in 1951, features two storeys and comfortably houses seven bedrooms with a total of 6.5 baths.
Perhaps most impressively, the main suite takes up three separate rooms and a total of two bathrooms.The over five thousand square foot space features five fireplaces, its own library, office, and a kitchen fit for a chef.
Alanis rose to fame with the release of her 1995 album Jagged Little Pill. The Canadian-born singer’s album had a number of hit songs, including You Oughta Know, Hand In My Pocket, Ironic, You Learn and Head Over Feet.
