LUXXU started the first day of Salone del Mobile 2022 with a strong presence and even stronger masterpieces all around. A jeweler and a designer, who adores collecting objects from outdoor experiences, founded PullCast by delving deep into the wonders of nature. Crossing the worlds of jewelry and design only led to a new aesthetic design that approaches architectural and artistic influences and blends them together.
This year, PullCast is all about the wide range of hardware designs, such as marble creations, ocean-inspired designs, oversized pulls, and a whimsical collection aimed at children’s decor!
Tom Dixon – ‘TWENTY’ Lighting Exhibiting
Tom Dixon, a British designer, is celebrating 20 years as one of England’s top interior designers with a new campaign titled “TWENTY.” The exhibit features some of his most successful designs from over the years, including the MELT chandelier (as seen in the photo), as well as new pieces focused on sustainable innovation.
Cassina X Linda Freya Tangelder Partnership – Soft Corners
Cassina, the luxury Italian furniture magnate, is deeply invested in the future of design, as evidenced by its new patronage project. Linda Freya Tangelder of the design studio Destroyers/Builders is the first designer to take part. Her offerings for Salone del Mobile 2022 are part of her “Soft Corners” collection, which includes the modular poof pictured here, which is meant to represent the interlocking nature of stone walls, with each piece critical to the overall support.

Prada Reveals – Prada Frames
With a three-day seminar running concurrently with Salone del Mobile 2022, Prada is emphasizing the inherent contrast between the natural and design worlds. The series of lectures and events, curated by the research and design studio Formafantasma, aims to provide a critical approach to design by analyzing how it directly impacts the environment, in order to illuminate existing ecological practices and chart the course for design’s future relationship with nature. The symposium’s visual manifestation is a forest created with a Lidor scan, a process used to digitally scan original copies as well as select trees when foresting.
