Celebrity Homes: After leaving their native New York a few months ago, Ivanka Trump and her husband, Jared Kushner, continue to play a role in President Donald Trump’s administration from the nation’s capital. The couple is renting a new home in Washington, D.C., for $15,000 a month, according to Business Insider. New documents obtained by The Wall Street Journal reveal their landlord is Andrónico Luksic, a Chilean billionaire whose company is embroiled in a fight against the United States government and environmental groups over a mine in Minnesota.
The Trump-Kushner residence is situated in the city’s Kalorama neighborhood, an area that will ring familiar to those who’ve followed the Obamas’ move—it’s where the previous first family now lives. Incredibly, Trump and Kushner are now living less than two blocks away from the Obamas, as Washington Fine Properties agent William F.X. Moody confirmed to The Washingtonian. Designed by the late famed D.C. architect Waddy Wood, their house boasts 7,000 square feet of living space on an almost one-acre lot.
Inside, there are six bedrooms and seven baths. The master suite features a fireplace, which is one of five throughout the traditional-turned-contemporary home.
With a gourmet kitchen (plus an additional one in a separate apartment), Trump will have ample room to make the kosher family recipes she often shares on her website.
