While the tickets for free champagne are sold out, free, regular tickets are still available for non-champagne having trivia happy folks like yourself. Even if you did RSVP for champagne, there’s no guarantee you’ll get any, so there’s that to ponder.  Be sure to dress your ass off because there will be a red carpet and you will be interrogated by Joan Rivers ghost about what or who you’re wearing. Videology’s Oscar Shindig

Back room theaters in NYC used to mean sticky floors, questionable aromas and dollar tokens for a five minute peep-show. Videology’s name might fool you into thinking those times are back but you’re wrong: it’s a Williamsburg bar for movie buffs with happy hour drink specials. Sad face/happy face. Tacos, popcorn and nachos are par the course on Oscar night. Watch the telecast on a giant screen. Free.

The Oscar Party at Singl

Singl is a bar and lounge near Union Square. For $38 you can enjoy a three course meal while watching the Academy Awards on multiple flatscreen TVs. Gourmet popcorn and oysters are also on the menu at this speakeasy inspired venue. We recommend going as Bonnie and Clyde to get into the spirit.

Gansevoort Oscar Viewing Party

Hotels are soooo much fun because the possibilities of what’s happening in the rooms are endless. Who’s shooting a porno or making a drug deal? Who’s meeting whom for an affair? Sounds like a plot from a movie, right? If intrigue and fun is what you’re after, the Gansevoort has plenty to offer on screen and on its premises this Sunday night at its Oscar viewing party. Specialty cocktails, popcorn and more are on deck. A BOSCO GIF booth will be on hand so dress your best. Reservations here.
