Alex started his own boutique design studio in 2003, after an illustrious career at one of the world’s largest hospitality design firms. The studio embraced the digital age early on and operates remote team hubs in France, Italy, Poland, Canada and Russia, enabling the studio to have a flexible and proactive approach to geographical challenges. Historical renovations, re-purposing, re-branding and market re-positioning have become great strengths in the growth of the studio whilst maintaining elegant and timeless styling, clearly defining the ethos of the company.

THE PROJECTS

The Dorchester Hotel

This iconic London hotel on Park Lane dates back to 1931 and still retains many of its original features. Alex Kravetz Design was responsible for the renovation of the ballroom, function rooms, and the hotel suites. The DNA of the hotel and its history were paramount throughout the renovation. The ballroom project was built in a record five and a half weeks in the middle of the summer, with functions scheduled to take place the day after its completion. Perhaps the most challenging deadline in the history of the company!

Beverly Hills Residence

Full renovation of this pinnacle Beverly Hills property, restyling it from top to bottom in a classically inspired, modern European style. Alex Kravetz Design was responsible for the master plan, architectural styling as well as all the interiors.

Radisson Hotel Antwerpen

The Radisson Hotel Antwerpen is located on Astrid Square, and is certainly an iconic building within the fabric of the city. Situated directly across from the city’s historic central train station, the two buildings portray Antwerp’s diversified architecture. Alex Kravetz Design identified three major concepts which would drive the design for the Radisson Blu Hotel, Antwerpen.

Hilton Muscat

The fort like architecture of the Hilton Muscat will be a unique development representing the Hilton hotel brand. Warm and inviting materials reference to the purity of Omani architecture, undulating landscape & white shores. Clean lines and rich textures are enhanced by unique art and accessories that form a cohesive collection that is seen throughout the hotel highlighting the use of local crafts in a quiet, elegant way.

The Landmark Hotel

The Landmark Hotel is one of the great Victorian railway hotels, located in the Marylebone area of London. Alex Kravetz Design has worked on the project since its initial opening in 1993, when it was converted from the offices of National Rail back to a grand hotel. Alex Kravetz Design continuously improves and reshapes the mainly listed interiors maintaining the spirit and essence of this true grande dame. As with any long-term project, special attention is given to planning, careful budgeting and prioritization.

The Imperial Hotel Vienna

Major historical renovation of this grand hotel involving reconfiguration of all public areas. Ambitious update of the operations and food and beverage facilities with a clear masterplan and concept at the core of the interior design. All design work had to run through the Viennese Historical Commission and to counter the existing fear of entering the former royal palace by the general public. This reputation was still present before the renovation.
