6 Celebrity Homes on the Market for Years – It’s supposed to be a seller’s market, but some celebrity homes have been on the market for years now. Are they overpriced? Do they have too many customized features that buyers simply don’t want to pay for? Or are these wealthy homeowners just able to hold out for a specific price — no matter how long it takes to find the right buyer?
Michael Jordan’s suburban Chicago home has been on the market for four years. Pippen, who played on all six championship Chicago Bulls teams during the 1990s, originally put his Fort Lauderdale, Fla., home up for sale in 2007, according to the Sun Sentinel. After price cuts (it listed for $16 million in 2009, according to Realtor.com), the home is currently on the market for $11.5 million. (Realtor.com is owned by News Corp., as is MarketWatch.) For that, you get a waterfront property with six bedrooms, seven full bathrooms and two half bathrooms, and 9,782 square feet of living space. Oh, and a supercool pool with a twisty water slide and, of course, a basketball net.
