Cary Grant, Grace Kelly and Howard Hughes Vacation Home – This 11,503-square-foot beach house with a serious celebrity pedigree is for sale for $11.995 million, and its history is worthy of its price tag.

One of Hollywood’s most historic, fabulous beach houses is officially on the market for the first time in nearly 40 years. For an impressive $11.995 million, someone can lay claim to the 11,503-square-foot Santa Monica beachfront property that was once the vacation home to a number of the industry’s biggest and brightest over the years at various times, including Cary Grant, Grace Kelly, Howard Hughes, Irving Berlin, Woolworth heiress Barbara Hutton, and model and actress Sharon Tate.

Grant and pal Randolph Scott (a popular Western star) famously co-owned the property in the earlier part of the century, throwing parties attended by equally famous friends like Fred Astaire. American composer Berlin used to vacation at the home and reportedly even once hosted George Gershwin at the beachfront property. Coldwell Banker Global Luxury’s Jade Mills is handling the sale.

A grand motor court sits at the front of the property, with a four-car garage adjacent to a courtyard fountain welcoming guests.
