Celebrity Homes: Now You can Buy Ben Carson Florida Home – The former presidential candidate is presumably headed to Washington, D.C. Shortly after being nominated by president-elect Donald Trump to be the next secretary of the Department of Housing and Urban Development, Ben Carson listed his West Palm Beach, Florida, home for $1.2 million, reports Variety. The five-bedroom, four-and-a-half-bath house spans 6,155 square feet and includes 22-foot coffered ceilings, marble floors, and water and golf views. With a $4.4 million estate in Palm Beach Gardens and a residence in Upperco, Maryland, Carson could be trading in this third property for one in Washington, D.C.

Ben Carson is an American retired surgeon, author, and politician. Born in Detroit, Michigan, and a graduate of Yale University and the University of Michigan Medical School, Carson has authored numerous books on his medical career and political stances, and was the subject of a television drama film in 2009.

Carson’s widely publicized speech at the 2013 National Prayer Breakfast catapulted him to conservative fame for his views on social and political issues. On May 4, 2015, Carson announced he was running for the Republican nomination in the 2016 presidential election at a rally in his hometown of Detroit. In March 2016, following the Super Tuesday primaries, he suspended his campaign and announced he would be the new national chairman of My Faith Votes, a group that encourages Christians to exercise their civic duty to vote. Carson then endorsed the candidacy of Donald Trump. Trump announced he intends to nominate Carson to serve as Secretary of Housing and Urban Development.
