
Celebrity Homes: Buy Robert Redford’s Manhattan Home – Robert Redford enjoyed the top-floor spot in this Manhattan apartment building in the 1980s, but that wasn’t where he started after moving to the city.
In an interview in the December 2000 issue of Architectural Digest, Redford said, “The only way I ever got to see the view from the top, in those days, was to buy a ticket to the observation deck of the Empire State Building.”

Robert Redford’s former New York City home, a duplex with one bedroom, one bath, and one half bath, is now on the market for $1.35 million, according to the New York Post. Located between Madison and Park Avenues—two of the most coveted addresses in New York City—the unit features double-height 17-foot ceilings, a wood-burning fireplace, and a newly renovated kitchen. Most importantly, the skyline vistas are almost as good as those at the top of the Empire State Building.
