Celebrity News: Selena Gomez passion for interior design

Selena Gomez is going through a lot of changes in her young life. After breaking up with Justin Bieber, the 23-year-old pop star has released a new album aptly called “Revival,” which she is currently promoting. Another transition the “Good for You” singer has made is the re-modelling of her California home. And this is a great celebrity new for all the fans that now can discover Selena’s new passion: interior decoration!

According to Elle Decor, Gomez enlisted the help of Brittaney Elise, an interior designer of BE Design. Elise told the magazine that Gomez, who is also known for her stunning taste in fashion, is just as stylish when it comes to her home.

“She knew exactly what she wanted and trusted my visions from day one. Any time she would be out of town for business and return home to progress, I would receive an overly ecstatic phone call or text message,” the interior designer said.

Gomez is very much a hands-on client. Elise described her home to be Tuscan-Mediterranean inspired, and said that the singer wanted to put Bohemian touches throughout the interior to reflect her personality.

For the singer’s living room, Elise had an accent chair customized to go with the white baby grand, which Gomez insisted on incorporating into the space.

”As an artist, she dreamed of having her own baby grand piano in her very own home one day, and I brought this into the design by creating a fresh ‘white’ room,” Elise detailed.

The chair is upholstered in a customized fabric featuring the sheet music of “Somewhere Over the Rainbow,” one of Gomez’s favorite songs.

The dining room has a “Moroccan wonderland” vibe, another one of Gomez’s visions. The dining table is a beautiful piece of hardwood, paired with customized chairs. Elise incorporated 24-karat gold and silver gilded treasure boxes for the room’s seating. On top of the boxes, she placed deep plum cushions made of crushed velvet and saris from India, one of Selena’s favorite countries.
