The project is Victoria and David Beckham’s idea of urban palatial living. On the lower ground floor there will be a spacious gym and a massage area (the pool was removed several years ago), with the atmosphere of a luxury spa and a cascading water feature on one wall.
On the ground floor, there will be the family living room, a huge kitchen leading into a dining room and a ‘home office’ for Victoria. Intriguingly, the entrance to Victoria’s office will be a secret door — the type that blends into panelling or a bookcase.
The first floor, with 2,000 square feet, will be devoted almost entirely to Victoria and David’s bedroom space. The master bedroom and ensuite bathroom alone take up around 1,000 sq. feet. Then, Victoria’s dressing room will be huge with a wooden floored catwalk-style runway and the walk-in wardrobes will feature an electrically operated ‘runner’ so that Victoria can press a button and wait for her dress of choice to arrive in front of her.
She has also had, pictures of her style heroine, Audrey Hepburn on the walls and an area set aside for ‘manicure, hairdressing and make-up’, but this isn’t all. This area leads out to a charming terrace, with a lovely view to the garden.
Upstairs on the second floor will be three bedrooms, all with ensuite bathrooms, for the Beckham children. Right at the top of the house, on the third floor, will be a man cave for David with a pool table, a mini-bar and to his cars.
Outside, there is an oriental garden and an underground garage. The property also has a tunnel which security staff will use to travel unseen to a second location.

“The new place is a project – and a place for the kids, particularly Harper. It will be her memories of a childhood home when she is older, and what a childhood she is going to have.”
