Martyn Lawrence Bullard Designs Screening Room for Khloé Kardashian – It balances opulence and comfort with silver velvet and wall sconces.
As the celebrity world’s point person for modern luxury, interior designer Martyn Lawrence Bullard has glammed up the homes of big names, such as Sir Elton John and Cher. He’s also a favorite of the Kardashians, who have commissioned him to deck out the dream homes of Khloé and Kourtney, as well as Kendall Jenner. The sisters’ distinct personalities are reflected in Bullard’s high-end aesthetic interpretations: For Jenner, he found such pieces as a $52,000 Edra couch designed to look like a nest of navy-purple velvet boas.
He “introduced bright pops [of color]” in a way the admittedly color-phobic Kourtney Kardashian “can handle,” adding a pink headboard in her daughter Penelope’s room and infusing the space with more neutral-colored modernist gems, like an Oscar Niemeyer ottoman and a Jules Leleu desk. As for the glamour-minded Khloé Kardashian, he went with Mediterranean-style embellishments, intricate chandeliers, and romantic swaths of textured fabric.
On Sunday night, Bullard gave fans a behind-the-scenes peek into the luxurious space he designed for Khloé. “With most of America settling in to watch the Super Bowl, I had to post this most scrumptious screening room I designed for the most delicious @khloekardashian,” he wrote on Instagram. “This luxe room has one entire wall filled with a screen for up close [sic] viewing in the very best way. Koko takes comfort to a new level!”
