These additional skill sets add an unparalleled value to Brianne’s approach to every project. We have the pleasure of share with you an exclusive interview with this top interior designer.
Brianne feels very lucky to do what she loves every day. Mainly she loves getting to know her clients and then creating their dream space. She impacts their lives daily as she designs their beautiful homes created just for them. For her, there is nothing better than this feeling. The most challenging time of her career was when she felt her career taking off right when she was about to give birth to her daughter. “There were a lot of life adjustments that had to happen quickly. With the right support both at home and in the studio, I was able to be both a mom and a Principal successfully.” – said Brianne.
Asked about if she achieved everything in life, Brianne gave us a short and assertive answer. She is a dreamer and very goal-driven. She feels that definitely has achieved her life-long dream but that doesn’t stop her from looking to what is next. About that, the designer told us that she would love to have a product line; more lifestyle-driven than furniture. She loves to cook, travel, garden… and the list goes on. So she would love to share that with the world. What makes her the happiest is when her clients are happy and come back with more projects and challenges. She gave us an example of one family to whom she has been doing a project for every year for about ten years and counting. “There is no greater compliment! – said happily, Brianne.
PROJECTS
For communicating her work, Brianne relies heavily on Instagram. “I have always managed my account on my own and have never paid for one follower. I am very proud of that! Instagram is a wonderful tool to not only showcase portfolio work but also document the process, and of course the fun we have along the way!” – she explained. At the moment she is working on several exciting projects around the country. For Brianne, last year was the year of major home renovations, second homes, or sizing up homes from previous clients. Creatively speaking about design’s future, the designer believes that there is a post-modern revival happening right now, which certainly gave a fresh new perspective. For her, it is bringing back curves in furniture, monolithic shapes, and colors such as mint and terracotta.
Currently, she is working with a lot of young families in the City center or in the North Suburbs of Chicago. She loves creating cozy places for them to spend the weekends but also for the reality of young children and pets. Brianne’s clients are very like-minded and love to travel, dine out and be philanthropic. She is working on two very exciting multi-family developments in Chicago with very different clientele and aesthetics. These projects allow her to be fully creative, as well as make her pushing her own boundaries.
TO FINALISE
When it comes to craftsmanship, Brianne has observed that since COVID19 there has been a shift on higher quality furniture and less about the best deal. “This is something I am always trying to educate my clients about and it is great to see their appreciation shift.” – she said.
“I have never seen such an appreciation for home, interiors and design more than now. Being quarantined at homemade people realize their home isn’t just a pass-through of day to day life but should be a place you enjoy, feel safe and is reflective of your own personal style. I hope this continues as well as an appreciation of bespoke interiors, furniture and design in general.”
