Step Inside Bollywood Star Sushant Singh Rajput’s Apartment – Bollywood star Sushant Singh Rajput, who recently turned 32, has come a long way since his debut film Kai Po Che cemented his status as a veritable star five years ago.

Before breaking into Bollywood, Rajput was a TV heartthrob, thanks to his turn as Manav in the hit show Pavitra Rishta. The actor, however, made a smooth transition to Bollywood. And there’s been no looking back since. “I never knew how to become a star. And if I did, I was not sure how to maintain longevity. To be honest, I don’t think about it, I just look at the stars from the telescope,” says a candid Sushant Singh Rajput, who gives us a peek into his home life as part of Asian Paints’ web series, Where the Heart is.

Sushant Singh Rajput, who is presently shooting for the Karan Johar-produced remake of Fault In Our Stars and Sanjay Chauhan’s Chanda Mama Door Ke (which is ironically, a space adventure saga co-starring Shraddha Kapoor and Nawazuddin Siddiqui), opens up about how he sealed the deal on the house he currently calls home in Mumbai. “When I made the decision to get this house, I was shooting for a film in Budapest. I was given a virtual walkthrough of the home and was sold. I was excited about moving in,” says Rajput, whose home incorporates intergalactic themes and nerdy references.

“My living room encourages time travel in a way because there are different stories here, condensed in different forms, talking about different histories, the future, everything. These pictures on the wall are interesting. If you look closely at any of pictures, they tell a compelling story,” says Patna native Sushant Singh Rajput. However, it is when the actor takes us into his reading room that he truly lights up. “I keep having conversations with the writers whose books I read,” he says, drawing our attention to his yellow study table and “time machine”. He introduces us to his ‘Meade 600’ telescope. “You can see the rings of Saturn, the four moons of Jupiter, different galaxies, and Andromeda (galaxy) as well when the sky is clear,” he enthuses.

At this time, Sushant Singh Rajput’s furry family member, Fudge, makes his presence known and the actor is quick to pet him.
