Celebrity News: Angelina Jolie’s New Hidden Hills Mansion – Angelina Jolie has moved into a mansion in a Californian gated community so exclusive it can’t be viewed on Google Street View.
The star, who announced her split from Brad Pitt last month, will now count celebs including Kim Kardashian, Britney Spears and Drake among her neighbours in the ritzy suburb of Hidden Hills. Jolie’s new home is a whopper, at almost twice the size of her short-term post-split abode: 8,284 square feet. Within that space are two beach entry pools, a cascading waterfall, an 800-square-foot cabana and a wine tasting room, Entertainment Tonight reports.
With less than 2000 residents, Hidden Hills is an exclusive, gated suburb whose priveliged inhabitants enjoy a “rural, country way of life that has nearly vanished from Southern California,” its official website states.
“The pastoral setting is highlighted by the absence of sidewalks and street lights and by the presence of horses, llamas, ostriches, and the occasional cow.” 648 separate homes make up the suburb, which also boasts “six miles of roads, three guard houses, 25 miles of bridle trails, three community riding arenas, four tennis courts, a competition-size pool, recreation centre, and a state-of-the-art, 99-seat performing arts/movie theatre.”
The suburb is famed as a celebrity magnet thanks to its high security, with Sharon and Ozzy Osbourne, Miley Cyrus, Jamie Foxx and almost all the extended Kardashian / Jenner clan calling it home. Jolie had previously been staying in a house in Malibu, which she was renting for a whopping $US95,000 a month. The previous home spanned across 4409 square feet and came complete with five bedrooms and five elaborate bathrooms along with a beautifully-furnished kitchen, an outdoor pool and private gym.
Still, both homes are dwarfed in comparison to the sprawling Hollywood Hills compound Angelina and Brad shared with their six children: an enormous 80,000 square foot property made up of five individual homes, including a ‘nannies’ house’ and one building designated as a kids’ play room.
