Celebrity Homes: Graphic Designer Milton Glaser Inspiring Home – Graphic designer Milton Glaser has created some of the most iconic images of the 20th century, from the ubiquitous ‘I ❤️ NY’ logo to Bob Dylan’s psychedelic 1967 greatest hits poster.
Now, you can own the Woodstock, New York home where Glaser conceived of such noteworthy graphics, and get your own creative juices flowing.
On the market for $1.8 million, the incredible stone-and-glass home is situated on more than 77 acres of surrounding gardens and forest, according to the listing from Coldwell Banker Village Green.
Glaser and his wife Shirley first bought the three-bedroom home 50 years ago and have since added to its Arts and Crafts style with contemporary touches.

On his website, Glaser writes of the house:
“With a grand room, a swimming pool, an extensive, beautifully planned garden and everything else that makes life in the country desirable, the house includes a beautiful and spacious studio, where I’ve done some of my best work, including the ‘I ❤️ NY’ identity and the ‘Dylan’ poster.”
It doesn’t hurt that his studio overlooks the lovely Italian-inspired pool and garden – no wonder he did some of his best work here.
But Glaser isn’t the only artist associated with the equally quirky abode. Sculptor Bruno Zimm originally built the house in the early 1900s, reports 6sqft. You can still see Zimm’s wood and stone carvings throughout the property today — from the fireplaces in the living and dining room to the grounds outside.
Another highlight of the home: the 50-foot great room for entertaining (or simply collecting your thoughts). The sliding glass doors along the sides open to both woodland and a bluestone patio for easy escape into the gorgeous outdoors.
