Johnny Depp isn’t afraid to make a big statement, whether through his interesting fashion choices or unconventional movie roles. And it looks like his boldness translates to his real estate holdings as well. According to the Wall Street Journal at celebrity news section, Johnny Depp has owned an entire French village for almost fifteen years.
But now, he’s putting the 12-building estate up for sale. The price tag? Approximately $26 million, which not only includes the property, but Depp’s personal wares, such as furniture, art and books.
Depp originally spent $10 million to restore the 19th-century structures, which are made of natural stone and wooden beams, and are accented with terra cotta roofs.
The finished product is a testament to the award winning actor’s personal style. A former church has been transformed into a guest house, with a wardrobe built inside a former confessional, and a wine cellar that is decorated with skulls and silk scarfs, an aesthetic reminiscent of one of Depp’s most famous roles as Captain Jack Sparrow in “The Pirates Of The Caribbean” franchise.

The sprawling 37-acre estate also retains its original village square, as well as a restaurant, laundry building and garage that are decorated to feel like businesses within a small town.
There are of course, modern amenities as well, including two swimming pools, a gym and a skate park built for Depp’s son with his former partner Vanessa Paradis.
Johnny Depp and Paradis resided in the main house with their two kids during their years at the beautiful estate. The main structure measures in at 4,300 square feet, and boasts five rustic bedrooms, three-and-a-half luxury bathrooms, and an art studio where Depp spent time painting.
