The frontman and one of the founding members of the band Phish, Trey Anastasio, just got serious about selling off his Hudson Valley home, cutting the asking price for the 2,120-square-foot house to $2.3 million—down $700,000 from what he originally listed the home for back in 2015. The move is a sure sign that Anastasio, who has 11 individual albums of his own and will be going on a solo tour this year, is ready to let go of the gorgeous three-bedroom, 2.5-bathroom house, which sits overlooking the banks of the Hudson River in Palisades, New York. The home was originally built in 1960, and previous owners include Sopranos star Lorraine Bracco, who sold it to Anastasio in 2009 for $2.7 million, and actress Ellen Burstyn, who sold the home to Bracco and her then-husband, Harvey Keitel, in 1989.
Features of the laid-back, rather isolated home include a newly remodeled kitchen, three fireplaces and a wood-burning stove. It sits on two acres filled with mature trees that attract a number of birds and eagles regularly, and borders a 2,500-acre park along the Hudson filled with wildlife. The musician originally listed the house in July 2015, with former famous neighbors as a selling point: Al Pacino, Bill Murray, and choreographer Mikhail Baryshnikov all previously lived in the area.
