It’s a given that each Studio Reed interior is unique, but there’s no mistaking Reed’s cool neutrals, pared-down styling and bespoke furniture. He defines his style as ‘authentic, eclectic and crafts-based’.
Reed worked in retail design and development at Hackett and Polo Ralph Lauren, before establishing his own studio in 1996. To date, he employs 15 architects and interior designers, and another eight furniture designers. ‘Jonathan designs custom-made furniture using new, often undiscovered, hand-crafted materials and skills, set against a backdrop of finishes that are tasteful and muted,’ says lighting designer Sally Storey. ‘The result is warm, evocative and appropriate.’

Perry Dining Chair by Essential Home
Perry is a dining chair inspired by the most famous occasional designs – it features a body structure produced in solid walnut wood, which makes it a durable and solid chair. Both the seat and the back cushions are upholstered in leather, evoking a sober look that contrasts with metal shoes on its legs, made of polished brass. A mid-century masterpiece and an homage to the modern living era.
