Celebrity Homes: Peek Inside Cindy Lauper Exquisite Mansion – Grammy-winning singer and songwriter Cyndi Lauper and her husband Dave Thornton put their Stamford, Connecticut home on the market for $1,250,000.
Lauper originally bought the house from shoe tycoon Vince Camuto in the 1980’s as a refuge to write music and work in private. She wrote five albums, as well as the hit Broadway show “Kinky Boots” inside the 3-bedroom, 3.5-bathroom estate.
The French country colonial is tucked away on a lush private road with stunning panoramic views of a nearby lake.
The front door is from a 19th-century English manor in the North of London. The roof is a gorgeous cedar mansard.
The interiors are the work of the founder of French Country style: Howard Kaplan. He imported a press from Italy to intricately hand stencil the walls and ceilings.
